Another gorgeous day though.
Kids just hang out on the road and walk in groups. Everywhere
This video is before we realized we were lost.
We passed through Meo Vac and followed Maps.Me as we headed to the next city: Du Gia. As we turned around to go down another road, I started to realize these notes on the map. Ami was sure we could still make it and it was a much "shorter" route than going all the way back to Meo Vac... which was an hour back. However, the scooter rental guy Def wrote on our map "Don't go this way" and scribbled out this portion of the map. We tried anyways.
This is the trail
This doesn't look bad but on a scooter for several hours... not gonna be good.
And this is when we turned around and headed back to Meo Vac
Views were awesome.
We stopped for lunch in Meo Vac and met a really nice guy who told us people in Vietnam don't actually eat fried rice haha. So that sucked.
Everything was great until I realized our little two hour detour was putting me really close to run out of gas. I was really starting to stress that I was going to run out of gas on the mountain when we finally saw a small gas station. Whew!
Once I had gas, all good again!
Riding into Du Gia
We went out for dinner and met some awesome Vietnamese guys who insisted on sharing rice wine with us.
They gave me qual eggs.
My bed room
Right next to everyone else in their bedrooms haha. It was an awesome place to stay though.
