Bangkok Feb 28

Well once again I got sucked into the comfortable life of an amazing king sized bed and a comfy room.  Made it down for breakfast though.  Yum!

We went to a little market under MBK and grabbed a few snacks.  Then waited for what seemed like forever for a Grab taxi.  Grab doesn't seem to work very well in the city.  They also have grab scooters, but Shaun doesn't seem super excited to sit on the back of a small Thai mans scooter as we weave through traffic haha

Eventually, Grab came and we went to Wat Arun.  The temple is stunning.  Right on the water.  We wandered around for a bit and then took a water taxi across the water.

Water Taxi!

We were going to see Laying Buddah but they wanted like 200 baht for it and i was being cheap.  It seems insane to me to charge so much to see a religious temple.  I'll look up photo's online.  The temple looked pretty from the outside though.

After I had some yummy coconut ice cream FROM A COCONUT, we went to a rooftop bar with a beautiful view of Wat Arun.

Coconut ice cream might be my new fav!

The drinks here were Really weak.  I wonder sometimes if there's even alcohol in them.

We decided to walk to China Town for some night market street food.  Absolute craziness.  I liked the night markets and the food in the north of Thailand a lot more.  Also, as you might assume, a lot of this was Chinese food, so a bit different than what I've been eating.  Shark fin was definitely on the menu.  Unfortunately, I didn't take photo's of our food.  To be honest, this whole area was really overwhelming for me.  So many people smashed into a small space and cars pushing through, plus too many food options, long lines and like 98 degrees.  Nothing like the calm markets in Pai or Chiang Mai.  I felt a little panicky.

American buying Budweiser in Thailand no big deal.  Don't know why he insists on making these faces when I take photo's.... still gonna take it AND post it bahaha

So after several delish snacks, we wandered back to the bar we were at last night with Evi and Tim, had a few beers and went home for a bit.

Wall "art" at the bar

We got back to the hotel, rested, changed and decided to go out to the lady boy bars off of Na Na station.  We stopped along the way for a few shots because we both felt a little uncomfortable going to look at lady boys.

After, we wandered into some crazy bar area with tons of strip clubs and 'women' standing around everywhere.  I didn't think coming to lady boy bars would bother me until I realized everyone was sizing me up... they were looking at me trying to figure out if I was a lady boy or not!!  Wtf!  That felt awkward.  We had a few drinks around here and left shortly after.  We didn't actually go to a lady boy show lol

These are the only photos we took.  Not exciting haha

How could you think THIS is the face of a lady boy??? haha
