Sunrise on the West coast
He wasn't too happy that I just left him with Linnea, the 19 year old Sweedish girl haha. Oops. I was so out cold, I never heard either one of them come back to the room. Apparently, Shaun came back and then went back out to a bar with one of the hostel guys. I headed down the beach to meet him. The main bar road in Patong was just closing down. There were hookers and drunk guys everywhere. People had set up little coolers and lawn chairs along the street and were still selling beer. I saw a lot of young drunk guys being pulled along by questionable looking "women". Haha wow it gets seedy here. No one even bothered talking to me, except a few drunk French guys who yelled something in French and then all laughed. Shaun said he had a very different experience walking down this street haha.
I met Shaun at the beach, we walked around the city a bit, looking for food (ok ok I was looking for McDonalds). Then we headed back to the hostel to shower, change, book another night and rent scooters to go meet Karen and Andrew again. We decided to go to Kata Beach, which is about 20 minutes South and more of a half way point for all of us.
The hostel was full, so we had to switch to a private room. Shaun was more than happy to have our own private bathroom and to be in a twin rather than a bunk. We also had our own AC. Wasn't much more expensive either.
My scooter was crap, kept stalling, but we eventually got it going and rode down to Kata. It was great to see Karen and Andrew again! We laid on the beach all day just relaxing. Kata is also less crowded than Patong, so that was nice too. I love driving scooters in Thailand.
Streets in Phuket
This girl is straight up having a photo shoot on the beach. Her poor boyfriend is laying in the water taking photo's of her. I want good Instagram photo's but... not That much haha
For dinner, we met Karen and Andrew for Turkish food. I don't know why no one wants Thai food!! The food was ok. I like Bosphorous in Orlando better though haha. I mean, we were in Thailand. We stopped by a bar afterwards for a few drinks and enjoyed catching up. On the way home, I had to find gas. You stopped at people's houses and they sell bottles of gas for 40 baht. It's kinda weird. and the gas is green. Tomorrow we head to Phi Phi!
Shaun got literally hit by a truck while driving his scooter. I don't know how he didn't fall over!
Drinks with friends :)
