They really packed people into the boat. We got good seats inside, so we decided to stay inside in the air conditioning
Islands in the distance. The views were beautiful.
Pulling into the harbor!
The hostels we wanted to book were full, so we got a cheap hotel, Lux Guesthouse. The building was all wood. The floors creaky and the door didn't seal shut. The AC was OK though and we had a private bathroom, so that's nice. The view was pretty also.
Pretty sure Shaun was melting from the 100 degree temperatures. Here he's laying under the fan and AC lol
We dropped our stuff off and headed to the beach (and of course grabbed drinks). Unfortunately, when the tide is out, it's really out.
I forgot to take a photo of how cute the streets were, so this one is saved from the internet. Cute though! Phi Phi is a walking island. There aren't scooters and cars here. Everything is by boat or walking.
Tide is so far out!
After a few hours of refreshing soak time, we watched sunset from the beach.
Back to the creaky room to shower, change and go find dinner. We went out for sushi (def not from Thailand) and it was AMAZING!
We ran into Stephen, Sara, and Linnea while walking through the city and went out with them to the beach parties! Every night in Phi Phi, they have parties on the beach. Basically, all the bars and hostels play really loud music, sell drinks and turn on black lights. The staff walk around giving out free shots, hosting limbo competitions, giant jump rope, people playing with fire. All sorts of things. Apparently, it doesn't work when I post videos on this blog, but I have some really cool ones.
We found that we could walk to the convenience store and buy buckets with more alcohol for way cheaper lol
This dude was passed out on the beach. Of course he woke up when we took a photo.
Stephen and Shaun.
Buckets!!
The tide comes all the way in.
The girls and I danced, while the boys drank buckets. Haha I think I made the right choice!
